Jerry Clark in one message referenced this from Linda Reno "I have Arnold John Greenwell as the son of Justinian Greenwell and his wife, Margaret ____. The administration accounts of Justinian dated 6/11/1771 and 1/10/1772, list as his next of kin Arnold and Christopher Greenwell, both of whom I believe to be his sons. Nobody else in the Greenwell family, at least that I'm aware of, had the name of Arnold. [Linda Reno]" I had Justinian Greenwell, b. 1682 s/o James Greenwell & Grace Taylor. Was this the one above? I went on Ancestry & ended up in " Catholics of Southern Maryland" & found too many Justinians. Calender Of Wills had Justinian Greenwell as a testor of will of Susanna Heard, widow of John Heard, in 1707. Would he have been over 21 to do this? Baptisms at St Francis Xavier & St. Inigoes Jun 1772 Justinian Greenwell of Thomas & Abelone, spon. Joseph Davis & Mary Greenwell. May 1774 Ann Suales of John(NC) & Margaret, spon Justinian Greenwell & Elizabeth, sister. Births recorded at St. Andrews Eps. Justinian & Mary Greenwell Noah, 10 Nov 1760 Benedict, 3 Feb 1763 Elizabeth, 1 Sep 1765 Jeremiah, 17 Jul 1767 George & Elizabeth Greenwell Joseph, 2 Aug 1755 Justinian, 15 Oct 1757 Bennett, 7 Dec 1761 Austin, 14 Mar 1765 Justinian Greenwell married Susannah Norris, 26 Sep 1801, St. Mary's Co. I looked for Arnold John Greenwell & Linda's reference was the only Arnold I found. Then I went back to his will in Nelson Co, KY & it says John A. Greenwell. Also he calls his son John not Arnold John as so many trees show. Could Arnold John Greenwell have really John Arnold Greenwell?? The more I look at this family the more I get confused. Dave
