Lists, Thought I'd share the following. This looks like it is Henry Burch m. Susanna Suit and probably the Thomas Mudd son of John Mudd that returned to Charles Co., and that m. Joanna (N). Shirley Middleton Moller CCLR IB6:385 At the request of Gideon Dent the following Affidavits were recorded this 11th day of June Anno Domini 1805~ State of Maryland Charles County Sst On the ninth day of August Eighteen hundred and four personally appeared Gideon Dent before me the subscriber one of the Justices of the Peace for Charles County aforesaid and made oath on the holy Evangelists of Almighty God that on the fourth day of January Eighteen hundred and two he delivered and sent by the hand of Thomas Mudd (of John) of the State of Kentucky to Henry Burch of the same State the full sum of Fifty Silver Dollars being the Money arising on the sale of a hogshead of Tobacco which the said Henry Burch left in the hands of the said Gideon Dent to sell for the said Henry Burch and further deposeth and saith that he counted the said Fifty Silver Dollars to the said Thomas Mudd in the presence of Meshack Howell Theophilus Dent and William Howell and several other persons which he the said Thomas Mudd then promi= =sed this deponent that he wou'd carry the said Money safe and deliver the same to the said Henry Burch in Kentucky and further he saith not to the best of his knowledge~ At the same time personally appeared Meshack Howell before me and made Oath on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God that on or about the fourth day of January Eighteen hundred and two he was present and did then see Gideon Dent count and deliver to the said Thomas Mudd (of John) Fifty Silver dollars for him to carry to the State of Kentucky to Henry Burch who was then living in that State after the said Fifty Silver dollars were delivered to the said Thomas Mudd he the said Thomas Mudd requested of this deponent (Meshack Howell) to take care of the said Fifty Dollars until he the said Thomas Mudd was ready to Start from this place to the State of Kentucky which he this deponent accordingly complied with the said request of Thomas Mudd and then counted the Money himself and found that there was the full sum of Fifty Silver Dollars which he deposited in his chest and about the time that the said Thomas Mudd started to Kentucky this deponent declareth that he then delivered the said Fifty Silver Dollars to the said Thomas Mudd who carried the same off with him and from every circumstance gave him reasons to believe that the said Thomas Mudd carried the said Money with him to Kentucky but what the said Thomas Mudd did with the Money after he left this deponents house he cannot tell and further he saith not to the best of his knowledge~ At the same time personally appeared Theophilus Dent (only son of said Gideon Dent) before me and made Oath on the holy Evan =gelists of Almighty God that he was present in company with several other persons at the time alluded to as aforesaid which he did then actually see his Father Gideon Dent deliver to the said Thomas Mudd of John the full sum of Fifty Silver dollars for the use of Henry Burch of the State of Kentucky and that he the said Thomas Mudd did then promise his Father to deliver the same safe to the said Henry Burch This Deponent further deposeth and saith that he hath not seen the said Money since that time and that the said Thomas Mudd never returned him no Money on any score whatever and that of no kind of conversation hath since passed between the said Thomas Mudd and this deponent to the best of his knowledge and belief~ At the same time personally appeared William Howell before me and made Oath on the holy Evangelists of Almighty God that he was present on the fourth day of January 1802 in the presence of several other persons when he did actually see the said Gideon Dent deliver to the said Thomas Mudd (of John ) the full sum of Fifty Silver dollars which he did then see counted for the use of the said Henry Burch and that he heard the said Thomas Mudd promise the said Gideon Dent that he wou'd carry the said Money safe to the said Henry Burch of Kentucky and further he saith not to the best of his knowledge~ Takin and sworn to respectively this ninth day of August 1804~ Before Ignatius Middleton State of Maryland Charles County to wit I do hereby Certify that Ignatius Middleton Gentleman before whom the aforegoing affidavits appear to have been made and whose name is thereto Subscribed was on the day of the date thereof a Justice of the Peace of the State of Maryland in and for the county of Charles legally commissioned and sworn and that to all whose acts as such due faith and credit is and ought to be given In Testimony whereof I do hereto subscribe Seal of my name and affix the seal of my Office Charles Coun this nineteenth day of August Anno .ty Court Domini 1804 Jno Barnes Clk of Charles County Court
