I just received the will of the Henry BURCH who d. 1816 in Person Co. NC who I believe is somehow related to the Henry Burch who married Susannah SUIT. This Henry Burch is found at the 1803 estate sale of Thomas LANGLEY of Caswell Co NC and we also see Benjamin SUIT as a buyer at this same exact sale. In this Henry Burch's 1816 will, he menitons his wife but she is not named. He also leaves estate to the children of his sister, Susannah JONES. The will is witnessed by a James JONES who may possibly have been her husband, but no proof. Her children that are meentioned by Henry Burch are: Church Well Jones (Churchwell?), William Jones, and Stephen Jones. Here is the will if anyone can connect with these people or knows for sure if they are connected to the Henry BURCH from MD, please let me know. Thanks. Here is the will: (Transcribed from a copy of the original) -------------------- Person County North Caroline, January the 26th 1816. Bonnie, don't know if this will help but this is what I have for the family of Henry Burch's parent, Oliver and Mary Nevitt Burch. Oliver Burch was Episcopal and Mary Nevitt was Catholic. They were both true to their traditions and attended churches in the "same neighborhood." Their children split between the traditions. I was told once that the Catholic Burches predominantly went to Kentucky and the Protestant Burches went south but I am not sure who was who. Perhaps someone on the list can fill in some information about the Protestant silbings.
