Pat, When I began working on my own family tree (my maiden name is Davis), I was very interested in this family and still am. They were both affiliated with All Faith, lived in the same area (including Trent Hall) and the name Marshall was used in at least one of the children's names. Anna May (Dixon) Knott, wife of William Henry Knott (son of Georgeanna Davis) had a family bible from which I got much information. Still, this family is very elusive. Jeremiah Davis, born September 6, 1806 (I have a death date of March 8, 1887) married first Ann Eliza Huntington--license issued in St. Mary's Co., February 1, 1836. I have her as the daughter of Jeremiah Huntington and wife, Elizabeth of Charles County. By this first wife, he had all of the children you listed below, except Theophilius. Jeremiah Davis m. second, Caroline Rebecca Cahill, March 3, 1851 (license date). She was the daughter of William H. Cahill and Delilah Tippett. They were the parents of the other children you listed, but you should add Theophilius. I'm listing all of the children, but am noting only changes, etc. Children of Jeremiah Davis and Ann Eliza Huntington: 1. Zachariah Marshall Davis 2. Elizabeth Ann Davis 3. Mary Elizabeth Davis 4. Jane Ellen Davis 5. Jeremiah Jason Davis (I have a death date of July 19, 1908) Children of Jeremiah Davis and Caroline Rebecca Cahill: 1. Theophilius Davis. He died September 19, 1889. He married Ella R. Goodrick in Charles County, January 1, 1884 and they had two children: Thomas Levi Davis and Bishop Whittingham Davis 2. Walter Davis, b. 1853 and died February 1860. 3. Rebecca Delilah Davis 4. Georgeanna D. Davis, September 1861-November 20, 1941. She m. James Henry Knott at All Faith on December 26, 1883. 5. Lydia Frances Davis, June 12, 1863-September 5, 1980 6. Susanna V. Davis, b. March 26, 1866 qand died October 25, 1933. She m. James W. P. Milburn, November 26, 1894. 7. James Marshall Davis. He died January 28, 1951. 8. Caroline Sophia Davis, May 2, 1870-1948. Her husband was William Grove (not Groves). 9. Delphinia "Delphia" Davis. She died in 1945. Zachariah Marshall Davis m. Jane Susanna Davis. I have her mother's name as Jane Susanna Elizabeth Brayfield. Thanks for the find. I hadn't tracked her down and assumed she was deceased by 1910. Mary Frances Davis would have been born in St. Mary's County and not in Charles County. I have Thomas Wesley Lucas, b. 1872 and yes, he m. second, Queenie Copsey. Thomas W. Lucas, 27, widower, m. Queenie May Copsey, 20 on 9/11/1910 at All Faith. (SMC Marriage Records, 1897-1915).
