    1. Re: [MDSTMARY] Jane HENDLEY, wife of Thomas WALKER (d bef 1 Dec 1750) and mother of Joseph WALKER (b ca 1741)
    2. Linda Reno
    3. Good morning, I'm not sure who this John Walker was. Donnelly said he was the son of William Walker who died in 1736. I think he was a brother, not a son. John Walker was married twice. By the first wife he had Margaret and Richard. The rest of his children were by Jane, whom he married between 1740-1744 as Richard was b. 1740. The last three children, John, Jr., b. 1744; James, b. 1745; and Roger, b. 1749. Will of John Walker, no county named, 12/6/1757-2/6/1758. Eldest son: Richard Walker to be under the jurisdiction of his mother-in-law, Jean Walker. My three youngest sons: John, James, and Roger to be brought up as my wife Jane thinks proper. Wife: Jane, Exec. Wit: Nathaniel Hickman, William McClane. Signed: Thomas Aisquith, D. Comy., SMC. (Maryland Calendar of Wills). 4/30/1759: Admin. accts. of John Walker, SMC. Sureties: Francis Hutchins, Wm. McClane. Received from: John Raley, John Stone, Athanasius Ford, Cuthbert Abell. Payments to: George Plater, Matthew Clarke, John Hickman, John Eden. Distribution to: Widow, 1/3. Legal representatives (orphans): Margaret Walker (at age); Richard Walker (age 19); John Walker (age 15); James Walker (age 14); Roger Walker (age 10). Exec.: Jane Walker. (Admin. accts. of the Prerogative Court of Maryland, Libers, 37-45, 1754-1760 by V. L. Skinner, Jr.). NOTE: This record is not on CD #206. Joseph Walker, son of Thomas Walker and (maybe Jane Hendley) was b. July 16, 1742. If his mother was Jane Hendley, she wasn't the same Jane who married John Walker. William Walker, brother of John, was married to ____Wilkinson, dau. of William Wilkinson and wife, Catherine (who m. second Robert Shepard). Their children were Eleanor, William, Jr. and Dorcas Walker. 3/18/1736: Admin. accts. of Mr. William Walker, SMC. NOK: John and James Wilkinson. Admin.: John Walker. 3/2/1740: Admin. accts. of William Walker, SMC. Sureties: Philip Clark and John Wilkinson. Received from: Sarah King, Phillip Clark, Ann Cox, Charles King, John Hellen, Hugh Hopewell, Benjamin Clark. Payments to: John Letherland, Nathaniel Hickman, Christopher Shenor, Henry Tucker, George Plater, Esq., Col. Richard Hopewell, Elizabeth Pickarell, Elizabeth M. , Thomas Aisquith, Jedediah Henning, Thomas Clark. Distribution to: widow, 1/3. Residue to (orphans): William Walker, Eleanor Walker, Dorcas Walker. Adm: John Walker.
