Hi, Tom, This is not my ancestoral family, so I didn't keep notes at that time, but - - - at least 20 years ago, I was involved in a correspondence circle on this subject. Some one of us tried to find the microfilm of the land transaction and couldn't find it. Never the less, another member insisted that they had seen it and didn't think that it said "John Abell". Maybe someone else on this list was also part of that circle or has access to the microfilm and can provide more information. Do you know which John Abell was said to be married to Elizabeth Aud? The only Elizabeth Aud that I could find was one whose father was Thomas Aud who died before 10 Mar 1693/94 in St. Mary's County, and for some reason, I didn't think she fit with the John Abell said to be her husband - - the one who was born about 1721 (grin).
