October 18, 1716 "a second shipload" was transported to Maryland, but the ship's name is not listed in the source cited below. The ship was likely not the Friendship, since the voyage dates are so close together. Scotsmen taken at Preston, in Lancashire, and sold into indentures to merchants for no less than 7 years. Transported to Maryland, they settled in Prince George's County, "New Scotland". Source: "Side-Lights on Maryland History" Names copied by Scharf from the London PRO (Public Record Office) Ship and Passenger Information: Prisoner Passengers on the second voyage "included": Withington, Richard Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
