Dear Listers, Sorry if this is a repeat but I did not get any of my copies of this request. Does anyone have additional information about either of these men? Ignatius Drury was born in Maryland in 1789 (age at death was reported as 36 in obit) and died 7/26/1825 in Allegheny county, Maryland. He was a delegate to the Maryland Legislature for 1822-23.It is possible though not proved that he had St. Mary's county connections. He was apparently one of three delegates sponsoring the so called "Jew Bill" which, as I understand it, was a bill to allow Jews to vote in Maryland. Ignatius Drury was administrator for the estate of Benjamin Brown in Washington county, Maryland. When he died William C. Drury took over the administrative duties. There was an Ignatius Drury who served as a lieutenant in the Maryland Militia for Washington county in 1812. This is possibly but not certainly the same man . I initially thought Ignatius might be one of the 2 Ignatius Drurys whose marriages are reported in Barnes "Maryland Marriages" in 1799 and 1800 but this Ignatius would not have been old enough to marry at that time. Any and all possibilities gratefully accepted. Thanks in advance, Don Drury
