David and List, I had to download a standalone TIFF reader that the Library of Virginia recommended (even though I already had software that should have read them), and also disable a security setting in Internet Explorer. Pain to do, but worth it! The images for land records appear to be excellent. I converted the TIFFs to PDFs to send to my family members, since TIFFs are huge. One can also convert a TIFF to a JPG to create a smaller file. TIFF is archival standard for digital images, but it produces an enormous file size.
