    3. Mike and List, According to my files, Margaret Cartwright, daughter of John Cartwright, Jr. and Elizabeth Greenfield, was married first to Charles Ashcom bef. 1766 and by him she had a son named John Cartwright Ashcom. Margaret's second husband was her cousin, John Cartwright, son of William Cartwright and Dorothy Keech (Dorothy Keech m. second, Robert Hammett). John Cartwright and Margaret Cartwright had three children: 1. William Cartwright. Eldest child and he was guardian to the two children below until his own death in 1797. Will of William Cartwright, Montgomery Co., 3/26/1794-3/6/1797. Brother: Henry Greenfield Cartwright, 1 negro man named Joe. Sister: Julia Cartwright, a negro named Bob. Aunt: Elizabeth Courts, a negro named Charles; if she dies without issue living, the negro is devised to my sister, Julia. To: My brother and sister, any land I have at my death or may have title to, equally divided. Exec.: Nathaniel Ewing of SMC. Wit.: Stephen Balch, Charles A. Beatty, Richard Forrest. 2. Henry Greenfield Sothoron Cartwright m. Susanna Walters (also from St. Mary's Co.), 15 Feb 1804 in Frederick Co., VA. 1820, Frederick Co., VA: Henry G. Cartwright. 1830, Frederick Co., VA: Henry G. Cartwright. 1850, Parkersburg, District 65, Wood Co., VA: John Cartwright, 45, miller; Mary, 34; Henry, 19, laborer; Susan, 15; Mary E., 14; Julia, 13; James W., 16; Henry, 64; Susan, 64. All b. VA. 3. Julia Ann Cartwright who m. Lewis Mahany, 08 Dec 1812 in Frederick Co., VA. Lewis Mahony was living in Pugh, Frederick Co., VA in 1820; in 1830 there was a Lewis Mahaney listed in Zanesville, OH; 1840, Lewis Mahaney, Licking Co., OH. No luck after that. I don't know how Benjamin Suite comes into play. I can think of two possibilities. Benjamin's wife was named Mildred (no surname) and his mother was named Eleanor (no surname). That's probably how there's a connection, but until we find the maiden names for these ladies, we're out of luck.
