Linda, Could you give me a short ancestry for the George Greenwell and Elizabeth Mills you refer to in your reply? I seem to have missed them in my Greenwell research. I haven't gone all through this site, but she does have the parents of Ignatius Greenwell wrong. She says he was the son of George Greenwell and Mary Ann Wheatley. He was the son of George Greenwell and Elizabeth Mills. At least I got the SMC connection I was seeking. This all started this morning when I found a newspaper article from The New York Times and another newspaper in 1888 where Mrs. Jennie Greenwell shot and killed her husband, Robert Greenwell because she was jealous. One article said that Robert was the son of Judge Robert Greenwell. The other said he was the son of Judge Joseph Greenwell (which is correct). This happened in Grand Tower, IL. Ann, wife of Joseph Greenwell, may have been a daughter of Dr. Joseph James who was living with the family in 1850. Linda Reno and list. According to my files I have Ann Jarboe daughter of Joseph Jarboe and Mary CLARKE(Daughter of Richard Langhorn CLARKE and Chloe ?) as having married a John Musgrove PHILPOTT on 6 Oct 1806 , Frederick, Maryland son of Barton Philpott and Martha Musgrove. The marriage location I believe is in error of Ann Jarboe to John Musgrove Philpott, because her parents married 6 Oct 1792, in Nelson County, KY I can't prove it yet, but it is my belief that John Musgrove PHILPOTT and Ann JARBOE had a son Henry B. PHILPOTT who married Harriett Medcalf daughter of Charles Medcalf and Elizabeth JUPIN Nelson Co Ky Marriage, Bond & Consent, 1817-1832 Henry Philpot & Harriet Medcalf Bond: 23 Aug 1831 M: 24 Aug 1831 Elisha Medcalf signed bond Charles Medcalf, father of Harriet, filed consent w/bond W: Benedict Mitchell, Elisha Medcalf Married by Joseph B Elliott, minister return I'm now thinking Henry B. Philpott's middle name is Barton named after his grandfather Barton Philpott. Can anyone help me prove this. 1860 United States Federal Census , Daviess, Kentucky H B Philpott 50 Hariet Philpott 49 S A Philpott 17 M A Philpott 20 Charles Philpott 16 Johnson Philpott 14 Henry Philpott 13 H J Philpott 12 Annie Philpott 8 Henry B. Philpott and Harriett MEDCALF had a son Charles PHILPOTT who married Mary P. CLARKE on 28 Oct 1862 , Daviess, Kentucky, she was a daughter of Albin Clarke Sr.who married Elizabeth BRAY. Albin Clarke Sr. was a younger brother of Mary Clarke who married Joseph JARBOE both children of Richard Langhorn Clarke and Chloe. Can Anyone help provide children of Ann Jarboe and John Musgrove PHILPOTT

He was born in Charles County in 1779 and was the son of Thomas James and Ann "Nancy" Williams.
