Don, You may want to remove Monica Wooten Bould/ Boult Mike Gough is the person who felt that Catherine Gough was the daughter of Peter Gough and Eleanor Bowles. I added this in my notes: Mike Gough believes that Catherine was the daughter of Peter Gough and Eleanor Bowles. I agree it's a good choice. It means that Catherine and Ignatius were first cousins. He also states that Catherine (Gough) Bowles d. in Union Co., KY 8/20/1828 and she's buried at Sacred Heart RCC, St. Vincent, Union Co., KY. Alethaire "Ally" Raley and Joseph BOWLES had daughters Dorothy ca. 1807, Aloysia (Louisa), Monica, and Catherine, I believe, was youngest - correct me if I'm wrong. Louisa married Wm. BLAND, had a son Wm BLAND, Jr, was widowed on 1850 Marion Co census. Didn't Catherine marry a Murphy as well, and move to IN? I know Monica married, but not when or who from the material at hand. Rebecca Hazlett NELMS, a widow, in Christian Co, IL, in 1859. In 1870, he got "Texas fever", left his family behind and never returned. He married twice more and had a second family, without any sign of divorce. In 1877 in Christian County, IL, Rebecca Hazlett Nelms ABELL married (3rd try!), to Peter JARBOE, widower, from Marion Co KY - who had previously been married to John Madison's first cousin! She had no better luck. Around 1880 he also took off for TX, and it's been passed down he started off with John's 10-yr old twin sons in tow, perhaps taking them to their father?
