Tom, Thanks for the info. I do not have Bennet Stone married to Teresa Simms either. The deed, JFF12-463, as I abstracted it says: "This land was conveyed to William Hayden by Bennent Stone and wife and Teresa Simms (JH11-479), 12 Nov 1839, where William Stephen Hayden currently resides." So, Bennet and his wife conveyed the land along with Teresa Simms to William Hayden. Not sure why Teresa was included in the deed since she was not the reason I was looking at this and I did not go pull the referenced deed, JH11-479, to figure out why. But seeing that John Simms was involved, Teresa's father, as shown in your abstract, I can now understand why. I was actually trying to figure out why William S. and Charlotte E. A. Hayden would convey land to the children of James Robert Higgs. Perhaps they were just good friends since I have not found any relationship between them. I had a Charlotte Hayden in my files but did not have her listed as Charlotte E. A. so I was a little confused. Linda srtaighted me out on that one.
