The yDNA of a descendant of William Howard who married Ann Clarke (abt. 1771 MD - Nov 1859 Nelson, KY) and the descendants of James Howard (abt 1758 SMC, MD - 1802 Washington, KY) does not match. Although they are both haplogroup E1b1b the markers differ greatly. Only 11 of 26 markers tested so far matched. For those of you with an interest, the results of Howard DNA tests done by FamilyTreeDNA can be seen at: http://www.familytreedna.com/public/howarddnaproject/default.aspx?section=yresults William Howard's descendant is test # 207496 James Howard's descendant is test # 81896 My brother's isn't on there because he tested with Ancestry. You'll notice on the results that another test did match the descendant of William Howard of Nelson County. This person's earliest known ancestor was William A Howard, born 3 March 1847 in Owen County, Kentucky. Anyone with any answers, or new theories?
