Page #: 106 Census/Enumeration year: 1790 Age ranges in household: 01-00-06-00-00 There is a James Suit and a James Soot--2 different census listings** Does anyone know if this was for 2 different men-- or was it for 2 different properties? Just curious if there were 2 men named this in SMC at the same time? I have found that a man named James Suit married an Amy or Anny Davis in 1799 in OH and is seen in 1806 in Champaign Co.OH then. He may have been from St. Mary's Co., MD, but not sure. He is in Champaingn Co OH with a Zekiel Davis who may be the Ezekiel Davis from Craven Co NC who had several siblings and his mother was an Adams. One sibling was named Briscoe Davis so I know they connect to SMC. Then, there is my James Suit as well who d. in 1813. --- Also, I have another related question A while back on the list, someone was taling about reverse deeds for same day having something to do with marriages. A long time ago, Linda sent me the following about my James Suit but it didn't have any date: He bought "Canoe Neck", 100 ac. from George Davis (reverse deed same day). Does anyone know the date? Also--did Geroge Davis have any daughters who were married in the timeframe of those land transactions between George Davis and James Suit??
