    3. Thank You Cheryl. Google earth brought up the island in St. Leonard Creek. It is a small island with no houses, I think. Brooms Island 1, Solomons Island, MD 20685 Google maps brought up the town Broom's Island on Rt 264, it does have its own post office and zip code, 20615, and the feature Broom's island below it. So I guess there are two Broom's Island Maryland. LOL) Brooms Island is on the western shore of the Calvert County peninsula and is located between Island Creek and the Patuxent River. You can Google it and the internet will map it for you. The place still exists here. BTW, there are tons of houses here and the place has a small Genealogy library. The courthouse burnt down, so some records were lost, but I'm sure you could find information on the family there. Bradburn is still a local name in the area. I work with one!
