    1. Re: [MDSTMARY] the mess
    2. Ha! I loveyour subject title! I am not sure about who was Victoria's husband's father-- BUT "ORPHA" is a HUGE clue!!! I state this because BOTH Victoria SUITE HARRISON, d/o Benjamin SUITE/SUIT (s/o Dent and ??) AND Margaret SUIT GOBER (d/o EITHER James or Benjamin) b. ca. 1774 in Granville Co NC and I had "assumed" to be a d/o Benjamin and "assumed" her to be a sister of Victoria-- had ALSO NAMED HER OWN DAUGHTERS: 1. REBECCA HARRISON GOBER & 2. ORPHA GOBER among other names her children were given INCLUDING ROBERT H. GOBER!!! MARGARET is either d/o Benjamin Suit or James Suit!!! She did not name any of her sons Benjamin or James but one was named Henry. She also may have had more children we don't know about-- BUT BOTH VICTORIA SUIT HARRISON & MARGARET SUIT GOBER named their daughters ORPHA. I have in my notes that Victoria Suit Harrison and Joseph ALSO had a daughter named Rebecca Harrison as well, b.ca. 1800. What happened to her? I did not know there was Orpha Carnes in the Harrison family-- Problem is-- with Margaret's birthdate of ca. MarchThat would explin the parentage of Johnson Suit who was in the same place that Mildred Suit went --Dinwiddie VA in 1810. Johnson Suit and Augustin Suit were in the WAr of 1812 there. 1774 -- Rebecca Harrison would be to young to be her mother so one date somewhere is wrong. But my point is--BOTH Victoria Suit and Margaret Suit named daughters ORPHA. That is a somewhat unusual name -- even then-- Then we now see there is an Orpha in the Harrison family. But IF Margaret Suit was a child of James Suit IF he is the one married to Rebecca Harrison and IF her birthdate of 1774 is wrong and she wasn't born until later-- then MAYBE---Orpha would ten be a name in the Robert Harrison family. But Margaret Suit Gober did not name any children after Benjamin or after James Suit. SHE DID NAME A HENRY SUIT GOBER. Was Henry SUIT the CORRECT SUIT who married Rebecca Harrison??? That could make sense-- Thoughts?? --------------------------- > I cannot prove or disprove this, but some of the names of the children of > this Joseph Harrison are involved with Nathan Harrison and the > Chappelears. > That is, > > Orpha for Orpha Carnes (had a son named Benjamin) > John CHAPPELEAR Harrison > Elkanah Harrison for Elkanah Edwards > Nathan for Nathan Sr > > So I don't think this guy was descended from Robert > > 10. 1. Re: [MDSTMARY] the mess--correction
    2. Sorry some of my previous email got garbled together somehow. I really need a new keyboard that doesn't stick-- Anyway, here is what I "meant" to say when somehow part of an older message got melted into what I was typing-- > I did not know there was Orpha Carnes in the Harrison family-- > > Problem is-- with Margaret's birthdate of ca. 1774 -- Rebecca Harrison would be to young to be her mother so one date somewhere is wrong. Rebecca Harrison Gober's name was not an accident in my opinion. Her mother was Margaret SUIT!!!! She was d/o Margaret Suit and John Fletcher Gober who had lived in Granville Co NC but then moved to SC where she died Margaret Suit Gober may have been named for Margaret Burroughs-- her grandmother. She named her own daughter Margaret Scott Gober. ---------------------------------------------- > Ha!
