Dear List, Does anyone have information on Clement Newton who was married to Elizabeth (maiden name unknown)? I know he died in 1760 (from copy of his will). Any additional vitals cold help immensely. I am trying to determine if he was the same Clement Newton who is listed in St. Mary's County Debt Books 1753 - 1758 (pp 16, 55, 93, 131, 171, 213) as possessing Newton's Rest (60 Ac.) and Newton's Rest with Addition (37 Ac.). He did have a son named Clement and also a nephew of that name but I am assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that they would have been too young to be listed as owning those properties. Thanks in advance for anything you can supply. Don Drury
Does anyone know if this is the Elizabeth Newton who subsequently married Ignatius Brown (my 3rd great grandfather)? They moved to Kentucky circa 1800.
