    1. [MDSTMARY] Rev William Brogden's Children

    3. Hugh, I've seen your post about living near the old Brogden property "Roedown" and having put together a small book on the family. Do you know the names of Rev. William Brogden's children? Obviously knowledge of some of them is extant, because it seems to be common knowledge that the grandsons lost the property. I've seen a couple of obituaries from the period, which was eloquent about Rev. Brogden's accomplishments, but list his children by number only - 2 girls and 4 boys, etc. Is there any credible source that actually lists the children by name with what became of them? I'm specifically interested in whether the Elizabeth Brogden who married Thomas Walker Jan 22, 1788 (Brumbaugh) or 19 Mar 1778 (Barnes) is the daughter of Rev. William Brogden. Time and place make it possible. Also, in 1801, Thomas William Walker of Anne Arundel Co for $250 sells to William Brogden of Anne Arundel Co 26 slaves as well as other household and farm property. Anything you have that might elaborate on this relationship would be appreciated. Jackson H. Day, D.
