But then my own father and his family were missed entirely in the 1930 census, so I know the census takers weren't infallible. The most recent records I can find on Ancestry for any descendant of this family is the World War II draft card for Felix Alfred Howard (born 30 Apr 1879, son of Leonard Joseph Howard & Susan M Milburn) in 1942, and the SS death record for Felix Alfred's daughter Myra Rebstock in Jan 1987 in Baltimore. How was the date of death arrived t? I was looking this morning at census records for Joseph A Howard, the son of eonard Howard Sr. & Ann Steel. In the 1840 census he and Jane Maryman had 2 hildren, a boy and a girl, both born between 1831-1835. In the 1850 census e lists his occupation as sailor, and they had 3 children: Jane A born 836, Albert born 1843 and Joseph born 1846. The family doesn't appear in he 1860 census, but it looks like the youngest son Joseph is living with a eonard R Howard, age 26, and his wife. Is it possible that this was the ldest son of Joseph A Howard and Jane Maryman? Do you have anything on hem? On the date of the se in 1815 "a certain" Leonard Howard had recently married Peter rberry's daughter Eleanor. In Peter's will of 1811 Eleanor was not yet 16. I'm assuming this Leonard Howard was probably the son of Leonard Howard n. and Appalonia Brown. s this correct?
