I don't know if my John Cooke is related or not. I can't find his parents. He was born around 1690 in, I think, Elizabeth City, VA. He married an Amy or Annie. I think he died in Hampton, VA about 1730. John Cooke and Amy or Annie had a daughter named Deborah. She married William Chisholm. Their daughter, Sarah married Thomas Tinsley. This is my line. There are a lot of John Cooke's but VA is just across the river from MD. So..........???? Subject: [MDSTMARY] William Holliwell. Recently, some one gave me information which states that one William Holliwell, of St. Mary's county, in 1729, left legacies to Alexander Cooke and John Cooke, the sons of Robert Cooke, deceased. I have not been able to find anything at all about any William Holliwell, under any spelling. Does anyone have information about him, and perhaps about his connection with the Cooke family?
