William Coode 1679-1743 the high sheriff was second son of the infamous Rev Col John Coode, Governor of Maryland, by his first wife, Susanna Gerard. William never married but the rest of the family heavily intermarried with BLAKISTONE and GUIBERT. There are descendants in Nashville. The second Irish catholic family lived on the far side of St Marys, and descend from the nautical James Codd~1715. His great grandson Col William Coad 1803-68 was a fascinating character. There are descendants in Ohio. Full trees for both families are available on worldconnect,ddatabase "coode".
