Your guys are so great. I can't find my Pryor Smallwood in any census for the time frame I am looking for. We know he was married to Widow Eleanor Abell at least by 1793 or 4. For their Smallwood kids to have been born. We know they were in Nelson Co., KY by 1805 to sign for his step daughters marriage. Pryor died abt 1809-1810. Widow Eleanor appears in Hardin Co., KY records after that. Eleanor was born abt 1766 and married Mr Abell abt 1785.Smallwood researcher tell me that Pryor Smallwood's father Benjamin Smallwood served in Rev War and left Maryland to Virginia and back to Maryland. So probably Pryor and Eleanor married before they came to Nelson Co., KY. Pryor's brother Hezekiah Smallwood married his second wife in Nelson Co in 1799. I am thinking that Virginia may be the place to look for Mr. Abell's death and his widow Eleanor's marriage to Pryor Smallwood. No luck with any of this in St Mary's Co or Prince George's Co Maryland so far. There were other Smallwood marriages in early Nelson Co., KY that no one knows anything about. But some Smallwoods were in Nelson Co before 1799. Smallwood marriages in Nelson Co., KY Jno.
