    3. Tom, Tom, and Linda Reno I can see a problem already because Frances WILKINSON was still married to Robert HUTCHINGS in 1734. Will of Robert Hutchins 5/30/1734 "To wife, Frances, to dau. Catherine, to sons Aquilly & Robert. To brother's son, Francis (son of John). witnessed by George Howell, Edw. Goldsberry, Even Howell & John Read. m: Bet. 1734 - 1735 keep in mind the Land record of 1734 in which Mary USHER wife of John Abell sold her 55 acres to Thomas Morsoll So same John ABELL could not have married Francis WILKINSON Bet. 1734 - 1735 and been married to Mary USHER in 1734. I have Frances WILKINSON married to Evan HOWELL abt 1710, Robert HUTCHINGS about 1720, and John ABELL about 1734/35. Abstracts of the Inventories Of The Prerogative Court Libers 1-4 1718-1720 V. L. So who does the John Abell belong to that married Mary USHER? He must be a different John ABELL that married ? FISHER This John ABELL was already married to ? FISHER by 1714. 3. I have no problem changing the order of the marriages of John Abell. And there is always that possibility that the John Abell who married Mary USHER was a different John Abell who married ? FISHER. But Linda Reno said yesterday: I disagree. There was no marriage to Mary Usher. That's where I had to disagree. 3. Linda Reno, I think we are disagreeing that Mary USHER daughter of Thomas USHER married John Abell, because you state the land transaction was in 1714, but it looks like to me the land Transaction was in 1734- 20 years later, because Thomas Usher is already dead. So is there more than one daughter named Mary USHER because record below does say Mary wife of John ABELL. And it does state land that was left to Mary and her brother George from her her father, (who died in 1714. ) And is there another John Abell that married Mary USHER. Perhaps not the same one who married ? FISHER. I guess I don't understand because in will he states Dau. MARY & son, George 100 acres Will of THOMAS USHER Kent Co., Md. 1/17/1714 L14: To son, John, dau. Elizabeth, Jean, Sarah all given land where John Pickett lives. Dau. MARY & son, George 100 acres where Oliver Mitchell lives with plantation. Son, Thomas 1/2 gist mill head of Pruckell Pair Creek. Youngest child recently born & not yet christened. To wife, ELIZABETH as exec., given plantation & 1/2 gist mill. Witnesses T. Swynely, Joseph Langley and Dennis Sullivan. What Is the date of this Document below it looks like 1734. Because then in Land record he states: which Thomas Usher left to his son, George & his dau. MARY, WIFE OF JOHN ABELL who sold her 55 acres to Thomas Morsoll. Accts 37a f107 1715 Kent Co., Md. 3. I disagree. There was no marriage to Mary Usher. John Abell was married to a daughter of Edward Fisher. Her first name is not known. 1/13/1712: Admin. accts. of Edward Fisher, SMC. NOK: John Abell and Thomas Beatson. 5/13/1714: Admin. accts. of Edward Fisher, SMC. Payments to: John Abell for his wife (unnamed, a child's part); Thomas Batson for his wife (unnamed, a child's part), Adm., Wm. Thompson (Skinner). The estate was paid by John Taylor. The estate made payments to (in addition to the children): David Watson, Mr. Henry Lowe, and Thomas Price. My note to the list, 1/2004: There are those who claim that Mary Usher, daughter of Thomas Usher, was the wife of John Abell based on a land record which named Mary, wife of John Abell, in 1715. This won't work as Mary was named as a minor in her father's will in 1714. She was not old enough to have married John Abell and have had 3 children by 1715. The wife of John Abell of SMC was ____ FISHER, daughter of Edward Fisher. PATENTS E.I.#1 f363-365 1734 Kent Co., Md. Land in Kent Co. which Thomas Usher left to his son, George & his dau.
