I've seen where "Bennett" is said to be a nickname for "Benedict" (specifically, in my Nugent family). That makes sense, Tom - she is step-mother & not mother. Allouisa is buried at St. Francis with Bennett - linked on Find-A-Grave as husband & wife. That's OK. But Allouisa is linked to Benedict {at St. Theresa's} as mother & son. I looked and thought "That's just not right" She was born in 1784 & her son in 1790 ? huh ????? I checked Find-A-Grave & found Benedict at St. Theresa's in Meade County, as this person states, & his father Bennett at St. Francis in Scott County. I see a problem, however. The lady listed as Benedict's mother was born in 1784. Benedict was born in 1790. Maybe, she was his step-mother ? Thanks. My guy was born in 1833 in Leonardtown. "Josephine" was Sarah Josephine Hall, d/o Joseph Hamilton Hall (of Baldwin Co AL) & wife, Harriet Brown, of Phila. Their children were: Nannie Ogle Key, Sarah Brown Key, Henry Sothoron Key, Joseph Hall Key, Harriet Hall Key, Henrietta Hall Key, Robert Morris Key, Jr., Charles Edward Key, and Shields Sothoron Key if this can help anyone else. Robert was living in AL in 1860, 26 years old. He was born in MD. He is married to Josephine, age 20, by then and she is born in AL. He was a physician. In 1850, in St Mary's County, there is a H.G.S. Key, age 60, no Henrietta but he may now be married to Maria L. Here are the people listed H.G.L, Key, 60, Farmer Maria L, age 44 (this could be second wife) Ann O, 22 R. M. 17 (this is likely Robert) E , 11 Joseph H, 9 Martha H, 7 Philip F, 5 LAE, 35 (this may be sister to Henry or some other family member. It would seem that Ann O and R.M. are full brother and sister, but the later ones are half siblings since Henrietta had died in 1832.
