    1. [MDSTMARY] Maryman SUET (SUIT) -- who was he?
    2. RE: Maryman SUET (SUIT) -- who was he? Need information on Maryman Suet/Suit who was listed on 1810 cens near a woman named Susanna Suit. 1810 cens 001100010100 2 names above Jas Herbert who m. Ann Suit/Suite in 1802. I found "later" men with similar names in other locations: One was a man named Merriman Merribran Maribran Suit, b. 1842 who was son of Ransom Suit & his wife, Catharine Rowland. Ransom Suit was son of Ralph Suit who married Nancy Wetherington//Weatherington in NC but who lived in VA. We do not know who Ralph's parents were. Another was a Memucan Suit who was s/o Wm. Riley Suit & Mildred Bullock of NC. Then there was a Marriman T. Shute, (Suit??) who was b. bef 1867 (unknown location or parents) who was married to Sarah T. Prather and they were living in Coles Co IL where Philip C. Suit went. **I am especially interested in the Maryman/Merriman Suet/Suit who was in St. Mary's Co MD in 1810. Thanks so much for any help on this person. Bonnie Treon [email protected]

    3. The Norris Families of England and Maryland and many that were copied from this contain many errors. The Ancestry of Thomas Norris of Maryland and Virginia has conflicting information on Mark Norris b. 1740. @ 1.91.2 John Baptist Norris 1720 of John c1680, of John c1652of Thomas c 1608 John Baptist Norris was born 1720 St. Mary's Co.,MD, son of John Norris & Ann Wheatley. He wed Mary Norris daughter of Marke Norris. Five children Joseph b. 1740, Mark b. 1740 (twins), Phillip b 1742, Stephen b.1748 & John b. 1753. @ 1.91.4 John Norris 1725 of John c1680, of John c1652, of Thomas c1608. John Norris Jr. son of John Sr. & Ann Wheatley was born 1725 in St. Mary's Co., MD. John Jr. wed Mary Norris daughter of Marke Norris (1.93.3) In 1764 will of Ann John's mother he is list 2nd but in parenthesis. He and Mary had five sons Joseph b. 1740, Marke b. 1740 (twin to Joseph), Phillip b. 1742, Stephen b. 1748 and John b. 1753 and probably 2 daughters that married Ignatius Shirley & Robert Shirley. I found another site that had this John b. 1725 as marrying Mary Howard bef 2 Dec 1752 with 5 children Phillip b.25 Dec 1754, Henry Eliijah b. 14 Mar 1758, Arnold b. 26 Jun 1761, Bibianna b. 17 Mar 1766, and Susanna b. 14 Mar 1771. I also had this John as s/o Thomas Norris & Jane Greenwell. I have Norris data that has not been verified back to about 1340 & his descendents that fill about 250 pages. I can do a report and/or a GEDCOM file if any one is interested BUT I believe there are errors in some branches. My direct line is back thru Thomas Norris b 1697 & Jane Greenwell. They are my 5th great grandparents. Dave The web site that I printed this data from in 1999 is no longer addressable. ----- Original Message ----- From: "C Greenwell" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, May 19, 2011 5:23 AM Subject: Re: [MDSTMARY] Samuel Norris - Son of Edmund Norris, Jr. Hi Lina, Many thanks for the info. Most of my information on the Norris family came from a book, "The Norris Family of Southern Maryland and Northern Virginia" . I no longer have it and can not go back and double check the dates and it is quite possible that I mis-typed them. I corrected my data for William Alonzo to match yours. Fresco has a William A. Norris marrying Martha A. Diamond 19 Frb 1855 at Sacred Heart. This is were the 2nd wife comes from. Are you saying that William Alonzo is not the same William A. Norris that married Martha? I have Mark Norris Jr. (b. 1740 d. 1795) son of Mark Norris and Sarah/Susanna Greenwell who has a daughter named Ann. So this Ann is Ann Harriet? He also has a daughter named Anastasia who you say married a Wheatley, then a Peake? Who if Joseph Wheatley? I do not have him or his family. Would love more info here. And finally, the reason I had Samuel and his wife death dates before 1850 is that William A. and his sister Mary Ann where listed in the 1850 census living with John Tracy. I just assumed both parents were deceased prior to 1850. 3. Just to add a couple of tidbits of info: The daughter of William Alonza Aloysius Norris, Ann Francis Elizabeth Norris, married second Thomas Daniel Morgan. I believe I found his obituary. Check this out. WASHINGTON POST 8/07/1939 MORGAN, THOMAS DANIEL. On Saturday, August 5, 1939, at his residence, 927 H st sw, Thomas Daniel Morgan, beloved husband of the late Annie E. Morgan, brother of Sister St. Helen, Mount Notre Dame, of Reading, Ohio; Mrs. Annie Franklin, of Washington, DC, and Mrs. Bertie Banagan, of St. Marys County, Maryland. Funeral from the Chapel of P. A. Taltavull, 436 7th st sw, on Wednesday, August 9, at 8:30 a.m.; requiem mass of St. Dominic's Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends invited. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery, Bushwood, Md. Also, Ann Mariah Banagan, Linda says died after 1910. I have that she died in 1918 but I have no source to prove that date. Might just be a year that needs checking out to find a source. 3.
