Online you might have found a transcription of the 1784 proved will of Elizabeth Branson with her daughter legatee listed as "Jane Higgs". In looking at the original will it appears more like Jane G. Diggs. In the 1785 Distribution it appears clearer that it is a "D" written the same as the first letter of her sister's last name Davis. I am primarily interested in the Higges from Maryland and Prince William County, Virginia. My GrandMother (d. 1962) is a Higgs from St. Mary's County and I have traced her roots back to 1800 where I have a road block that am still researching. In any case, I am willing to share all of the research I have done if interested. Hi Folks, I am looking for probate documents for John Cullsion, d. 1701. I believe that he lived in Dorchester County at the time of his death. Does anyone have a reference to the Vol and folio numbers for his account? I searched MSA and did not find him. I have a note that says: 9 Aug 1701, Abstracts of the Inventories and Accounts of the Prerogative Court of Maryland 1699 - 1704, V.L. Skinner, Jr. but no reference to the original documents. Thanks for the help. Randy
Hi, list, Edward Parsons will (d1716, SMC) says 'Testaor directs that the widow Pope should have her maintenance during life covenant'. There isn't any mention of 'Pope' in the will other than this. Does anyone know what this means or who this person is (if it is a person)? Thanks for any help. Betty
