I am agreed - I cannot trace the source documentation from my location and Ancestry has not provided assistance on this matter other than suggesting I open the query. I have received very few hits in my effort to locate my 4th great grandfather, Charles Hammersleigh who married my 4th great grandmother Barbara Shreup in Frederick County, Maryland in 1799. We have been trying to find him for over 30 years and this "Oath" was the closest to a record that I have found. Again, thank you for your reply and suggestion.
