    2. The thread of the following items was about the clothes of the time. Since the people were from the upper shore I thought I'd send them. March 9, 1785 The Pennsylvania Gazette FOUR DOLLARS Reward. RAN AWAY from the subscriber, on the 15th instant, a Negroe Woman, called PHILLIS, about 30 years of age, near 5 feet high, well made, and very black. Had on when she went away, a striped blue and white English linsey jacket and Petticoat, and had a bundle of other cloathing, amongst which was a white cotton gown. She has many small lumps on her face, wants most of her upper teeth, and has always her jaws tied up. Whoever takes up and secures said woman, so that her master may get her again, shall have the above reward, and reasonable charges, if brought home, paid by JOHN DE CORSE. Chester-Town, Maryland, Feb. 28, 1785. July 16, 1767 The Pennsylvania Gazette THREE PISTOLES Reward. RUN away, from the subscriber, in the night of the 27th of June last, living in Queen Ann county, in Maryland, a convict servant man, named Thomas Lamprey, about 29 years of age, and about 5 feet 10 inches high, has a fair complexion, wears his own hair, if not taken off since he went away, which is of a fair colour, and took great pride in it; is a little pock marked, has a small scar under his left or right eye; had on, and took with him, a light coloured broadcloth coat, with a small velvet collar, a brown or snuff coloured jacket, which has been flowered in the fulling mill, dark striped linen trowsers, a new felt hat, Whoever takes up and secures said servant, so that his master may have him again, shall have the above reward of Three Pistoles, paid by me NATHAN FARROWS.
