James Stephen LeCates and Margaret May Burris were married on 12/19/1900 in Double Creek, Queen Anne's County, Maryland. They had the following children born in Kent County: Conrad Simms (born 1902, died 1994), Carl Medford (born 1905), Violet (born ca 1907), Harriet May (born 1908), Vickers Stephen (born 1909, died 1962) and Roland Edward (born 1912, died 1980). Roland Edward is buried in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown. Roland had two daughters: Constance Mae (LeCates) Stavely and Sandra Olivia (LeCates) Schauber.
