    1. [MDQUEENA] Black pupils in Jackson district , Louisa county, Virginia 1884

    3. This information was taken from the Louisa County Historical Magazine. I hope that it will help someone. the only student list available in 1884 was Alice Burrow's list from public school number 4. This was a black school in Jackson District. There are a large number of students for one teacher by today's standard. the ages of the students are in parentheses. I believe I placed these Bible records in the Easton Public Library several years ago-it may have been thru our USGS, as they were collecting Bible records. The two Chaires records pulled the two lines together. The second listing was extremely difficult to find-finally found it in the possession of about a fourth cousin who found in a storage shed in MS! It was in bad shape but my dear cousin had it copied by a professional, and from the listings, was able to figure out the missing pieces. Bless those Bible records! My Dickerson/Dickinson Bible was found by my S-I-L in Baltimore in her attic. My brother, had is deceased, had put it there ofer 15 years ago, after he decided he wasn`t going to trace our line. Fortunately for me, my S-I-L remembered he had obtained the book from a cousin on the Easter Shore of Maryland. Interesting, the entries started "Dickinson" and then changed to "Dickerson." Sorry for this detailed trivia, but I think it is an interesting part of research.     3. HMMM....I have Rebecca A. TOLSON b. c. 1817, d. 3/06/1846, m. Thomas CHAIRES, his 2 nd wife-have nothing further on Rebecca. Thomas m. 1st Ritey Ann HOLDEN in 1845, had children. This info is from a Bible. I also have TOULSON in this same Chaires family in MD> My M-I-L was Ella Nora WHITE d/o James WHITE-nothing further on James as I have not delved into this WHITE line, but would like to.
