    3. James Stephen LeCates and Margaret May Burris were married on 12/19/1900 in Double Creek, Queen Anne's County, Maryland. They had the following children born in Kent County: Conrad Simms (born 1902, died 1994), Carl Medford (born 1905), Violet (born ca 1907), Harriet May (born 1908), Vickers Stephen (born 1909, died 1962) and Roland Edward (born 1912, died 1980). Roland Edward is buried in Chester Cemetery, Chestertown. Roland had two daughters: Constance Mae (LeCates) Stavely and Sandra Olivia (LeCates) Schauber.     3. I'm looking for my gg-grandfather's family. He was b in QA co ,1770, and d QA co 1826. His wife was Elizabeth GREEN, b ca 1773, probably QA Caroline, or Kent co MD. They were m 1796. I remember seeing a listing for a Levi KNOTTS b ca 1746. Does anyone have any information on this person? I can't help but wonder if he's an uncle or some other relative to Andrew. Sara GREEN is listed as a TEMPLE by some other KNOTTS researchers. Andrew's first son was Thomas KNOTTS, so some researchers think a Thomas KNOTTS was Andrew's father. Andrew had three son's, and I believe two daughters. The sons were Thomas, b ca 1800, William (my g-grandfather),b 1805, and Joseph, b 1812. The daughters were Mary (I think b ca 1798), and the last I don't remember . All of the children were b in QA co. MD. Mary m a William TEMPLE (I think), but died young. I don't know who Thomas m. William first m Margaret M BARRATT, the granddaughter of Col Phillip BARRATT, who donated land for BARRATT's Chapel in D! E. In 1844 he m Sylvia D. WILSEY in Nauvoo, Hancock co IL. after Margaret d. Joseph m Mary Lee of the Dover area. Joseph settled in Christian Co IL, and William and Sylvia went to Oregon on the Oregon Trail in 1845-46, and settled in Benton Co Oregon abt 3 miles North of Corvallis. One of Joseph's sons, Joseph, moved to KS where he settled. I'd appreciate any help. Bob KNOTTS

Please beware of scams! :) Happy hunting, Helen List I wanted everyone to know about my experiences with this group and their ..."Your Extended FREE 5 Day Genealogy Trial Offer." After numerous "e-mailings" a month or so, I took them up on a 5 day free trial which required sign-up and 1 year payment. It was the only way to see what was there and although not my normal way of engaging with genealogical suppliers, I figured I could try, keep it if I liked it, or cancel if I didn't. It took me ten [10] minutes to find out there is nothing of import there on this service for me and a waste of my money. Anything they offered back on my search requests were sadly lacking compared to what I could get with a generic search engine. I am awaiting my refund and cancellation after a month of numerous unanswered e-mail. They have finally acknowledged my efforts with the statement "We have put your account under review... refunds are usually issued every 2nd or 3rd of the month. When a refund is issued it will be posted back to your paypal account." So, we shall see. By the way, they continue to 'spam' with the offer to me...even tho I chose their trial, requested cancellation and refund. I've received 3 more e-mail just this week, addressed as such... I have been doing research on my VOSS - WEBBER line for many years & I have always been very intrigued with the given name of Holliday-Holiday in our family. I have the following: Holliday VOSS, b. 1818, Kent Co., DE d. 1882, Caroline Co., MD m. Nancy (Ann) Elizabeth BERRY Holliday's sister, Martha VOSS, married a William WEBBER in 1840, Kent Co., DE & they had a son: Holliday WEBBER b. 1857/1858, Webber Farm, Burrsville, Caroline Co., MD d. 1876, Webber Farm, Burrsville, Caroline Co., MD NOTE: I believe the newspaper made a mistake in naming Wm as the son of Wm WEBBER in the death notice on this date. Holiday, son of Wm WEBBER is the correct age 19 yrs. I mo. Furthermore, there isn't any info on Holiday after this date & his older brother Wm b. 1842 is still alive until 1922. Holliday & Martha VOSS parent's were James VOSS-VAULX & Martha (surname unknown). I believe Martha's maiden name to be HOLLIDAY.
