Hi, I am trying to locate information and photos for the family of James McFarlane and Agnes Glover. It is thought that James never went to Maryland, USA nor to Dalry, Ayr, Scotland from County Down Ireland but his wife and their unmarried children Susan ( later Mrs Thomas S Holmes), Thomas and William Glover McFarlane did so about late 1871 or early 1872. An older brother Robert McFarlane and his wife Agnes Longridge and young son also Robert and possibly a baby daughter Susanna may have gone to the USA the year before his mother and siblings as there is no record of them in the the 1871 census in Dalry, Scotland. He went to Barton, Maryland for the first nine years and then to Nebraska for a year nut returned to Maryland to live in Miller Road, Midland until he passed away in 1906. I am particularly looking for information on the Holmes family descendants from Lonaconing and for those of William Glover McFarlane who married Ida Jane Paterson.
