List readers, My ancestor, William HARBIN, was vestryman and church warden at the above church in 1726-27 & was also there in 1731. In his will in 1733 he requested to be buried at the church as near as possible to the seat or pew where he used to sit. My question is if that was something they did, and, if that church is still in existence, if someone could tell me if he is buried there. If it isn't there, what might they have done with him? I am asking because someone else claims he is buried at the Catholic cemetery in Bryantown, which doesn't make sense to me because 1) they should have gone with his wishes, 2) he was Anglican, not Catholic, and we were always told only Catholics can be buried in their cemeteries, and 3) since that was pre-St. Mary's days, where would the Catholic cemetery in Bryantown have been. Any comments and help would be appreciated. Joan Marie in Oregon
