Hello, List, I just subscribed to this discussion list. My name John W. O’Neal, II. I live in Amherst Ohio but I am descended from the O’Neale family which has its roots in Maryland. I am related to Joseph O’Neal, Father of William O’Neale, Father of Laurence or Lawrence O’Neal, Father of John O’Neale, Father of the infamous “Rebel Rose” Rose Maria O’Neal Greenhow of Civil War fame. All of the above resided and moved around through Maryland, in St. Mary’s, Calvert, Montgomery, Frederick Counties, to name a few during the 1600’s through 1800’s. All were land owners and I have some documentation on the lands they owned. I would like to share what information I have on the O’Neale’s.
