I am looking for the parents and ancestry of Ninian Mockbee. I think in the 1800? Census that a Ninian and Brock McBee/Macbee were next to each other in Montgomery County, MD.. I wonder if a Brock Mockbee may be his father...... In the abstracts of Wills, Montgomery County, MD. 1776-1825, Ninian's will of June 30,1812 lists his wife Mary and heirs: daughters Nancy Smith, Milli Lowe, Anna Lowe, Fanny Buxton, Cordelia, and Martha, and son Ninian... I think another son in the 1800 Census must have died or moved away.. Wife Mary's surname is listed as Mary Thomlison (see Roots Web worldconnect). My main interest is the Nehemiah Lowe family who I think might be related to Zadock Lowe from Forestville and Upper Marlboro. Milli was apparently Amelia/Permilia Mockbee who married Nehemiah Lowe (b. 1756) in Prince Georges County, MD. Henry Lowe married sister Ann Mockbee. Henry Lowe was probably a brother, son, or cousin of Nehemiah Lowe as Henry listed Nehemiah as a laborer on an indenture. I believe Martha "Patsy" married a William Linson (see Roots Web Worldconnect) Would appreciate some help from the Mockbee descendants with the family of this Ninian Mockbee ?
