I don't if everyone knows this or not, but non-govermental burials at Congressional are usually because of the church that used to own the land; Christ Church P.E. on 8th & G Streets. It still exists and I hope to be able to tour it this summer (last year nobody was there when I got there). FYI-"The Old Stone Church" was the only thing left standing in SE DC when the British burned DC to the ground during the War of 1812. -Jennifer Peterson Denver, Colorado
