    1. BECKETT/-----/LEWIS of Prince George's County MD
    2. Scott Swanson
    3. Jonathan Lewis of Queen Anne's [St Barnabas'] Parish/Prince George's County MD was dead March 1723; at that time his widow, now Mary Beckett, bound out her twin sons David and Jonathan Lewis [Prince George's County MD Records Liber L:243]. There appears to have been a John Beckett at just that time in Queen Anne's Parish/Prince George's County MD. Does anyone have any information that might help identifying Mary within the Becket family or what happened to her? Many thanks for your help, and best wishes to you. 1. Prince George Parish, Rock Creek Church
    2. Joan Marie Meyering
    3. List readers, My ancestor, William HARBIN, was vestryman and church warden at the above church in 1726-27 & was also there in 1731. In his will in 1733 he requested to be buried at the church as near as possible to the seat or pew where he used to sit. My question is if that was something they did, and, if that church is still in existence, if someone could tell me if he is buried there. If it isn't there, what might they have done with him? I am asking because someone else claims he is buried at the Catholic cemetery in Bryantown, which doesn't make sense to me because 1) they should have gone with his wishes, 2) he was Anglican, not Catholic, and we were always told only Catholics can be buried in their cemeteries, and 3) since that was pre-St. Mary's days, where would the Catholic cemetery in Bryantown have been. Any comments and help would be appreciated. Joan Marie in Oregon

    3. I can't help you with your Prince George County Rawlings/Rollings, but if your focus changes to Charles County, I found numerous references there to Luke, David, John and Ann in deeds in the 1760-1780's. They had part of Old Branford Enlarged. Check the archives lists for a couple years ago for my postings on both Charles & Prince George counties. Joan Marie in Oregon

    1. NATURALIZATION Record - Baltimore City/Howard Co/Prince Georges Co. - HORTEN or HORTON
    2. William Horten
    3. I am looking for the naturalization record of John Horten who immigrated from the village of Longuich near Trier in Rhenish Prussia with his wife Catherine in 1853. Passenger list info might also be helpful. He and his family lived in Baltimore City from 1853 - 1859 in Howard County from 1859 - 1865 in Prince Georges County from 1865 - 1874 and in Baltimore City from 1874 - 1895 The Horten family (the name was often misspelled as HORTON) family consisted of: John Horten (b. 1827) and his wife Kate (or Catherine- b. 1822) Deutsch Horten and children Anna (b. 1852), John William (b. 1858), Mary Frances (b. 1861), and Francis Erasmus (b. 1863) All of the adults were German immigrants from Rhenish Prussia in the 1850s and the children before 1859 were born in Baltimore City and baptized at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and after 1859 in Ellicott Mills and baptized at St Paul Catholic Church. In Ellicott Mills, John Horten & family and his brother-in-law, Frank Deutsch had worked for the Christian Brothers at Rockhill College. They lived in Howard County briefly during the Civil War skirmish -The Raid of Ellicott Mills and moved to Prince Georges County by the end of the war. Most of the Deutsch family remained near Bowie, Maryland when the Hortens returned to Baltimore City in 1874. Thanks for your help. 3. Sherry, I just happen to be looking at the EARLY's and several have the notation that they were buried/married at "Healthy Green" or "Healthy Green Farm". I looked into the "Atlas of Prince George's County, Maryland 1861" a publication of the Prince George's Genealogical Society at a cost of $9-$10. The Estate was located in the Postal area Nottingham, and the Aquasco District 8 of Prince George's County. I don't have anything on the Rawlings you mentioned 1 Morris > -----Original Message----- > From: Dick&SherrySimpson [mailto:simpson@hal-pc.org] > Sent: Sunday, March 04, 2001 5:52 PM > To: MDPGEORG-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Healthy Green Farm > > > Haven't asked about this for several months and am hoping there may be a > new member out there who might help. > > I am searching for RAWLINGS ancestors who lived in Prince > George's Co., MD. > in the 1800s.
