My Vansants were mostly in New Castle Co., DE. The farthest back I have got is Samuel Vansant who was born in 1808 in DE. One of his sons, Isaac, did move to Cecil Co., MD, but I don't know of any in Harford. My Harford tie is the Abernathy family which I have been able to find almost nothing on despite years of research - well, not all of it on them of course. I have posted this previously, but I'll put it out again - if anyone has info on Washington and Margaret Abernathy of Harford Co in the mid to late 1800's please let me know. My great grandfather was William Vansant Day, born in MD in 1829. I've always wondered where the middle name came from. If you ever see a relationship please be in touch.
