    3. Here is the information I have on Elizabeth (Morgan) Richardson. I am interested in her Morgan roots--could she possibly have been related to the Morgan signers? I know that the Richardson family produced many who supported the Revolution, but I know nothing about Elizabeth Morgan Richardson. Henry Richardson, born @ 1762 died August, 1812 (will filed August 22, 1812) m. Elizabeth (Morgan -- maiden name not verified by me but taken from others) (will filed September 15, 1840) >From the wills children were Morgan Richardson (possibly Samuel Morgan Richardson) Harriet Richardson (probably never married) Mary Richardson (married James Carroll) William Richardson--there is a lot of info on him; he was apparently a Methodist circuit rider Vincent Richardson Cynthia Richardson (married Abraham Rutledge) Mathida Richardson (was "ill in body and mind" and left in the care of her sister Harriet) Elizabeth Richardson (married Jacob Forwood) -- The Forwood book says Jacob married Cynthia but their marriage license as well as her parents' wills confirm that Elizabeth married Jacob Forwood That is all I know about Elizabeth. There is a lot more out there on the Richardson family and I have copied most of that but have not checked the sources. Sandi Wallis ----- Original Message ----- From: "Christopher T. 1. [MDHARFOR] James Webster and Mary Brice
    2. bgmcintosh
    3. Does anyone have the children of James Webster and Mary Brice? They were married Mar 1, 1781 in Harford Co., MD. Mary is the daughter of James Brice and Mary Johnson. James Webster and Mary Brice moved to Ohio in the early 1800s by way of PA, where John Brice Webster was born in 1824. Does anyone know if James Brice and/or James Webster were in the Revolution? Thanks! Barbara

    1. [MDHARFOR] Brickwalls - Ewing/Sadler/Norris
    2. jane gilbert
    3. Hi everyone, I'm researching a friend of mine's family who has deep roots in Harford County and have run into two brickwalls early on in the research. I'm just going to throw some information out there and hope someone might be able to help me find a needle in a haystack. My friend's great grandparents are below: Oscar Ewing b: 10 Jul 1870 in MD d: 11 Jun 1942 in Harford Co., MD +Sarah Jane Sadler b: 1878-1880 in MD d: 21 Apr 1939 in Harford Co., MD I won't go into all the gory details on Oscar, but because he was born after the 1870 census was taken and by 1880 was not living with his parents, I cannot determine who his parents were. I've exhausted all available records in Harford County, and his death certificate was no help. I'll do some digging in Cecil County, but I suspect he actually was from Harford County. If anyone by some miracle should happen to have across his name in any estate or Bible records, I'd be grateful for any information. His wife Sarah Jane Sadler is then also a problem. I know that her father was Milliard Sadler and have information on him. Milliard married a woman name Margaret Norris in about 1878, but I don't believe she is Sarah Jane's mother. The 1900 census says she had no children, and Sarah Jane's death certificate says her father was Millard Sadler and her mother unknown. (Margaret Norris Sadler outlived Millard by 24 years and lived with the Ewing family until her death, so had she been Sarah Jane's mother, there's no reason she would have been "unknown" on the death certificate.) It would seem that Millard was probably married prior to Margaret and that his wife likely died during or shortly after childbirth. There are no marriage records at all for Millard in Harford County, so I have no idea who his first wife was. So again, I'm hoping maybe someone has come across a family Bible or estate records from Sarah Jane's mother side of the family that might mention Sarah Jane. Any help or thoughts appreciated. I've never run into such tough brickwalls so early in research! (Note DNA testing has proven that Oscar was indeed a Ewing, but it's not helped me isolate him down to a specific Maryland line.) Thanks. Jane
