    3. Special rubing paper can be purchased from monuement manufacturers, that when palce on the stone and rubbed with a tennis ball will bring out the engraving.. This is to be able to read the stone, not improve it. Cleaning is best left to the professional, because materials and technics vary with the material the stone is made from.
