My immigrant ancestor Thomas KEARNEY married Sarah BAXLEY at St. Pauls Protestant Episcopal church, Baltimore, in 1791. They lived in Baltimore until about 1805 when they moved to Ross County, Ohio. Sarah was born in Harford County. She was the daughter of John BAXLEY and Mary SPROUL. Thomas KEARNEY was from County Offaly (Kings County), Ireland. There was a Thomas KEARNEY who served in the Maryland Line during the Revolutionary War, but I don't know whether it is the same Thomas KEARNEY. After Thomas and Sarah moved to Ohio they had a son James who eventually married Eleanor R.A. HAYS, the daughter of Jesse HAYS and Elizabeth HURST, who were both born in Dorchester County, MD. Jesse Hays's father was Levi Hays who was from Montgomery County, MD.
