Sorry, my computer occasionally decides to send repeated "sentmail" messages for no reason that I can figure out-and I can't stop it when this happens-hope it hasn't caused too much of a problem. Alice
Alice - that sounds like it might be a virus - called "Klez". Klez disables your anti-virus protection, and replicates variants, and attacks your email program. You need an outside program. Klez will also send out bogus emails to people on your address book list, and send multiple emails. Another thing it does is send you emails with "From:" names like Jiffy, or names you recognize with maybe an extra letter or two added (like "mcccroby" instead of "mccroby") and "Subjects:" like "Honey", "What til you see this", "Can hardly wait", etc. I would really try to run this utility. Follow the directions on the page. Try running this from the Norton site: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.removal tool.html -------Original Message------- From: MDGEN-L@rootsweb.com Date: Sunday, February 23, 2003 17:57:40 To: MDGEN-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [MDGEN] Roll Call Sorry, my computer occasionally decides to send repeated "sentmail" messages for no reason that I can figure out-and I can't stop it when this happens-hope it hasn't caused too much of a problem.
