I am searching for the above, as well as other family names in Maryland, beginning in Colonial days, when Robert Brooke, the immigrant came over from England. Some of my brick walls are as follows: 1.What was the maiden name of Margaret, wife of Henry Brooke? Margaret died about 1792. They were parents of Nicholas BROOKE, who married Margaret HILL in 1752. 2. Henry and Margaret Brooke (above) had a son, Clement Hill BROOKE, who married Anne (Nancy) CARROLL in 1817 in Washington, DC. Both Clement Hill and Nancy BROOKE are buried at St. Ignatius Catholic Church Cemetery, in Oxon Hill, Md. There is a stained glass window in that church given in their honor by their 7 children. I have not been able to find Ann Carroll BROOKE's parents, siblings, etc. 3. On another side of the family, am stuck on Josias FERGUSON, who married Margarey Duvall (daughter of Mareen Duvall and Ruth Howard). Josias subscribed to the Patriot's Oath in AA Co., Md. He was still living in Prince Geo. County, Md. in 1805 (approximately.) I have no information on his parents, siblings, death, or marriage date to Margarey.
