I was given the information (from another mailing list) that there never was a Mary Elkton - not one who married Abraham Pennington or otherwise. I have never researched this marriage but the other people on the mailing list are Pennington researchers and are more knowledgeable than I am. From the records I've seen, he may have been married to a "Mary" but I don't think there is any proof that her surname was "Elkton".
