My brick wall is the following. Jesse Summers, bn abt 1765 in Maryland. I believe he died in Kentucky. Was married to a Rachel. The only thing that I know for sure is that his son Greenberry (pos Francis middle name) Summers was bn 1 Dec 1794 in Maryland and died 8 Jan 1877 in Sullivan County MO. He was married 15 Apr 1816 in Washington County, KY to Nancy Elliott. I belive that Jesse and Rachel had another son by the name of Jesse that stayed in Kentucky also, possibly Fleming County. Greenberry's sons are named the following: William, Samuel, Jesse, James, Gideon, and Hiram. Nancy's father was William, so I'm guessing that Samuel may a grandfather of Greenberry if they followed the traditional naming pattern.
John, my great great grandmother was a Kantzer (also spelled Konertzer, Conatser and about a dozen other ways). If you have information concerning the Kanatzers, I would very much like to exchange information with you. My Kantzer were Germany>PA>North Carolina>Tennessee>Arkansas. They arrived in Philadelphia in 1738. Please e-mail me directly. Eldon J.
