Meriah, I've had conversations with two funeral directors about old records. They both stated there have been no laws governing records of funeral parlors that close. Some as previously stated are turned over to a larger concern but only of course if they will accept them. Some have simply been destroyed. Some were kept in basements by the director's widows. Who knows what happened to them after that? Sad but true. I had called the Funeral Director's Assn. in MD. Got the same info. Betty
