Hi, I would like to get some information about Ancestry.com's online census. They allowed me to go in and check it out to see if I wanted to subscribe. I was just wondering if anyone has subscribe to it and how you like it. It didn't appear to me that I would be able to print copies of anything, as it doesn't all fit on my screen. Also, I have been putting in some overtime and will have a little extra cash and was considering investing in some of FamilyTreeMaker's cd's. Again, I would like to hear from anyone who has them as to whether they are worthwhile, and are there particular cd's that would be more helpful. I expect this is a lot to ask, but would certainly appreciate any help. Thanks, Pat Ellison; Wittman, Md.
Pat, I have the online census, but it is not very good for me personally. I don't know where in the citites/towns that my ancesters resided and am having to search page by page. So far I havn't found anyone. I only have a 56K modem and it takes awhile for each page to load. You can print blank pages for the census (there is a link on the lower left side of the screen) and then fill in the information if you find someone. I also have Family Tree Maker. The CD's that one would want would depend on who and where they are researching. I have bought several and have not had much luck. I guess my ancesters are well hidden. Hi Pat, I belong to Ancestry.Com and feel it is worth every penny. Good luck hunting.
