I never open attachments, but it looks like I got the virus...anyway, I can't get some programs to work. Any ideas what to do? I have McAfee virus scan and it has always worked in the past. Help! Susan

Any antivirus program needs to be updated AT LEAST once a week so it has information on the latest viruses and worms. Then, if you suspect a problem, use your antivirus software to scan your entire computer. That should tell you if you have a known virus. Sometimes, however, if programs don't work right, all you have to do is reboot your computer. Leave it off for 30 seconds before turning it back on. HOWEVER, if you suspect you may have a virus, do an online update and then a scan FIRST.
