Hello I am looking for DAVIS in Maryland: This is what I have: James C DAVIS married Mary Ann GRAVES in 1847 in Baltimore County. Both were from Virginia. Resided in Fork, MD {Baltimore Co.} which I believe is near Kingsville, MD. They had several children, I know of these: Roberta who married Cornelius DeMoss Harriet who married A.H.Abrams Effie who married Jackson Duncan Virginia who married John Howard Cornthwaite in 1882 & resided in Fork,MD also. Virginia inherited a farm there in 1888. This couple were Quakers when they married. John DAVIS became a doctor & graduated from U of MD in 1887 & practiced in area. I am looking for info on any of the above. Would especially like more on James C & Mary Ann DAVIS. Thank you very much Helen

Historical Society of Frederick Co. http://www.fwp.net/hsfc/index.htm Rootsweb Frederick Co. website http://midatlantic.rootsweb.com/MD/frederick/ You'll find other links to helpful Frederick Co. websites on those two pages as well. Bear in mind that depending upon the time frame you are researching, parts of Frederick Co. are now Montgomery, Carroll, Washington Co.'s. ===== Kathi Jones-Hudson MD Tombstone Transcription Project Manager http://www.rootsweb.com/~cemetery/maryland.html __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Bless your heart, I have been trying to find information on my husbands ggggrandfather for a long time now. He was a Minster from Charles Co., Md. and moved to Ohio along with his brothers also believed to be ministers. If you could find anything for me I would be most appreciative. I need a look up on " Joshua Montgomery" born abt.1798, moved to Ohio in mid 1830's. His father was possible Joshua Montgomery also, bn abt. 1760 married to a Sarah Miles. Not too sure on this. would like to know for sure who parents were and names of siblings and where and when family came to America. They spoke German and help establish United Brethren Church in Ohio..Any thing would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
